RICHARD W. PLATT RECOGNIZED BY STRATHMORE'S WHO'S WHO WORLDWIDE PUBLICATION
SYOSSET, NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 12, 2011 – Richard W. Platt, of Ashtabula, Ohio, has been included in the Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the information technology field.
ABOUT RICHARD W. PLATT
Mr. Platt has had more than 25 years of experience in the field of information technology. He is currently serving as Virtualization Architect with Sage Technology Group, LLC, in Minnesota. His responsibilities include architecting, planning, implementing and managing virtualization projects for organizations of various sizes using Microsoft and VMware technologies as well as providing disaster recovery replication/site resiliency solutions. Mr. Platt has been an IT Architect, a Network Engineer, a Messaging Architect and a Technical Analyst/Consultant with various organizations including the State of Minnesota's Department of Human Services and the United States Air Force. He received an A.A.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Electronic Technology Institute in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1985 and a Certificate in Telecommunications, from the Community College of the Air Force, in 1989. He has given speeches at Hewlett Packard's Technical Forums from 2008-2011, at Minnesota's Government IT Symposiums from 2008-2010 and the Minnesota State College and University IT Conference for the past two years. Mr. Platt is a member of various organizations including the Storage Networking Industry Association and the Association for Computing Machinery. He currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he enjoys camping, hockey and reading.
